Mrs Robinson - BalLina Film Premiere

Straight from its World Premiere at Galway Film Fleadh, Mrs Robinson comes home to Ballina for a unique Ballina premiere screening.

Mrs Robinson tells the story of Mary Bourke of Ballina who became Mary Robinson, global leader - in her own words, for the very first time. A pioneering constitutional lawyer, the first female President of Ireland, the UN’s first High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Chair of The Elders; iconic change-maker Mary Robinson has led an inspirational life of human rights activism. But as she approaches the age of 80, she is taking on the biggest battle of her life. Tracking tectonic shifts in personal, political, and social values over a period of 50 years, Mrs Robinson tells a cinematic story of epic battles for equality: in the courts, at the ballot box, and on the streets. As a global leader, spearheading the new women-led climate action initiative Project Dandelion, Mary's target is to engage 2 billion people globally by 2030.

This film goes on national cinema release from August 23rd. Don't miss it at a cinema near you!
