Laura Cook

Laura Cook is a communications strategist with over 20 years’ experience in third sector and climate/nature communications. She is Project Dandelion’s Special Projects Coordinator, currently helping to launch the campaign in Ireland. Laura also serves as Director of Communications at the Alliance to Feed the Earth in Disasters (ALLFED), and is co-founder of Girls Interrupting, a global network supporting women and girls with Dyspraxia. She is a founding member and communications consultant for Women Beyond Walls, an initiative working to end the over-incarceration and over-criminalisation of women worldwide. Laura previously worked at The Elders as Communications Advisor with a focus on climate justice communications.
Laura is pursuing a PhD at the University of Birmingham, researching intergenerational dialogue as a tool to address the climate crisis. In her spare time, she is a spoken word poet, is writing her first book, and is an internationally award-winning photographer. |
