Ballina Climate Action Weekend, now in its third year, is a tactical weekend of meaningful climate action initiatives, aligned to and amplifying the work done at grass roots level in Ballina. Our aim is to showcase the great climate positive work taking place in Ballina and engage a wider audience in these initiatives to build awareness, scale and momentum in our bid to become Ireland’s greenest town.
This year’s Climate Action Weekend takes place 24th and 25th November, with support from Ballina 2023, CARO Atlantic Seaboard North and AIB. Key priorities for this year’s programme include highlighting funding opportunities for businesses and communities, and promoting responsible consumption and production via the circular economy.

**CANCELLED** the accidental activist by diane o'connor & DJ
Diane O’Connor didn’t grow up expecting to be an activist, it just sort of happened, one minute she was holding a pint in the pub the next it was a placard at a protest.
A quick-witted comedy show about a woman trying to find her place in the midst of this mess. The Accidental Activist doesn’t pull any punches but provides a consistent thread of hope and resilience for anyone worried, angry or eager to do more about the climate crisis we’ve been thrown into.
Join Diane on this hilarious and provocative journey of feeling the fear and finding the hope. You’ll be laughing, crying and perhaps grabbing a placard on the way out.
Followed by DJ set by Relish Records

This allows members of the public to try the circular economy at a discounted price, encouraging repair, reuse and pre-loved.
This initiative will also include a social media showcase of the circular economy businesses participating in the scheme to highlight their offering and their skills, building awareness of their services.
