The Mary Robinson Centre, in association with TikTok, is thrilled to announce the West of Ireland's first-ever youth climate festival, taking place from September 27th to 29th, 2024. This landmark event is designed to bring together young people for a weekend of fun, integration, and awareness, all centered around sustainability, climate change, and a deep connection to nature. With a diverse range of engaging and interactive activities, the festival aims to inspire and empower the next generation to take meaningful action on the environmental challenges we face today.
Attendees can look forward to an exciting lineup of events, including a Silent Disco in Belleek Woods, forest bathing, and forest crafts. The festival will also feature a Half Pipe skateboarding ramp, drumming workshops, a sustainable youth market, and a solar-powered rave in the IQ courtyard. Additional highlights include eco-anxiety, waste management, youth advocacy, Mayo Dark Skies, FairSeas and horticulture workshops, and a DJ bike rally around Ballina town, and much more!

- Giant Snakes and Ladders with GOAL: A supersized version of the classic game with a climate twist.
- Beats on Bikes: Join a group bike ride led by a DJ, turning the streets of Ballina into a mobile party.
- Wood Craft Demonstrations by Ould Crafty: Watch and learn traditional skills with a modern sustainable edge.
- Eco-Friendly Vendor Stalls: Explore local, youth-oriented products that are sustainable, organic, and plant-based.

NIGHT TIME HIGHLIGHT
19:30-23:00 Trad Rave at IQ Ballina.
As the sun sets on Saturday, the festival’s energy peaks with an electrifying fusion of beats and traditional Irish music at the over-18s event Trad Rave and supported by local DJ’s.
